In this post we will do a quick recap of our recent trip to high point furniture market in North Carolina and talk about the upcoming furniture trends we see coming.
WARM COLOURS
We recently attended the High Point Furniture Market, and we are excited to share some of the latest trends we observed!
As an interior designer, I am always on the lookout for what’s new and exciting in the industry, and this year did not disappoint.
One of the biggest trends we noticed was the use of warm colors in furniture and décor. From rich terracotta to deep mustard, warm hues were everywhere, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
“I always love how color can change the look, mood, and feel of a space.”

ORGANIC SHAPES
Along with warm colors, we saw a lot of organic forms in furniture design. Natural curves, shapes inspired by nature, and soft edges were prominent, creating a more relaxed and comfortable environment.
TEXTURED FABRICS
Another trend that we couldn’t ignore was the use of heavily textured fabrics. From boucle to chenille, to plush velvets, texture was a recurring theme, adding depth and dimension to upholstery and bedding.
This trend is perfect for creating a tactile and cozy space, perfect for a cozy chair to snuggle up and relax into with a good book and cup of tea!
GREENERY
In terms of greenery, we saw an increased focus on bringing the outside in. Plants were everywhere, from hanging vines to large potted trees. This trend is not only aesthetically pleasing but also has significant health benefits, such as purifying the air and reducing stress.
UNIQUE LIGHTING
Lastly, we observed a lot of unique light fixtures made to feel organic in shape. Natural materials, such as glass, metal, wood and rattan, were used to create light fixtures that looked like they belonged in the environment. These fixtures added warmth and a touch of natural beauty to any space.
