WENTWORTH REFRESH: A FAMILY’S STORY OF STYLE, FUNCTION, AND HEART The Family The Wentworth Project embodies this philosophy: an elevated renovation that redefined both function and beauty while allowing our client to remain in the home and neighbourhood they love. Renovate vs. Buy New? For many homeowners, the choice between renovating and purchasing a new home is pivotal. In this case, the structure was solid and the location ideal, yet the interiors no longer reflected our client’s lifestyle. By investing in a renovation rather than starting fresh, they were able to achieve the luxury and refinement of a new build while preserving the home’s character and surroundings. The Struggles The challenge achieving a full transformation of the home while living through the renovations. Every decision from construction sequencing to material selection required careful planning to minimize destruction. Additionally, the team needed to strike a balance between preserving the home’s original charm and infusing it with a sense of modern luxury. The result demanded precision, collaboration, and attention to detail to ensure the renovation delivered the sophistication of a new build while honoring the home’s existing framework. In order to allow our clients to live through this main level renovation a secondary kitchen was set up in a basement bedroom to give the clients some normalcy while the renovation was happening. “It's everything we wanted! you really understood our vision and you had all sorts of ideas that we did not think of that came out amazing. We just love that everything has a home, nothing is out of place, and it's not cluttered anymore. it's bright and beautiful.”
The Transformation The kitchen became the centerpiece of this transformation. Custom cabinetry, high performance appliances, and a hidden coffee bar were designed to create a space that marries timeless elegance with modern functionality. The renovation extended beyond the kitchen to include a refreshed powder bath, newly stained flooring, updated wall colors throughout the main level and up to the bonus room, and a curated selection of new light fixtures. To complete the transformation, we styled the main level with bespoke artwork, thoughtfully chose accessories, and furnishings that bring cohesion and personality to the entire space. Now, our clients have a home that feels as sophisticated and welcoming as they are. It's a space that allows them to entertain family and friends with ease, enjoy their morning coffee at the touch of a button, and truly feel proud of the home they've created. Every detail was designed to elevate not just their space - but their everyday living.
